Grabbing a window seat in a local train is an art. To get the fourth seat is nothing but a compromise. Last evening wasn’t any different from any evening at CST. The train was almost full by the time I boarded it.

I can get into any local train with an ease, which comes only with years of experience. I don’t mind getting squashed between two passengers.

The train halted at the next station and a sea of humanity moved in. Finally, just one seat was vacant. Two middleaged men started fighting for it. The verbal fight soon developed into a physical one and the taller and stronger of the two got the seat.

Dire consequences
Things soon got a little nasty when they hurled abuses at each other. The train moved on but the two continued their tirade against each other.

It came to a point where they threatened to beat each other up. One even clicked a picture of the other on his cell phone. Likewise, the other followed suit and threatened him with dire consequences.

By now, the other commuters who were enjoying the fight, asked them to have a joint photo session. Suddenly they laughed. I had saved some chocolates for the evening. I offered it to them. The two got off at the next station.
