Gill leads inrc Rally of Bengal
Team MRF's Gaurav Gill along with celebrated co-driver Musa Sherif, continued to maintain performance as they set high speeds in five of the six special stages to take a comfortable 100 seconds lead on the second day of Rally de Bengal, the seventh and final round of the Speed Indian National Rally Championship about 80 kms from Kolkata here. Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia, the 30-year-old champion was in command with Musa Sherif making the right calls to push challenger Lohit Urs and co-driver Srinivasa Murthy PV to the edge.
Lohit Murthy recorded fastest timings in SS-5 but Gill/Sherif posted more than 20 seconds each in the next two stage at the end of Day One.
