India football stalwarts Mahesh Gawli and Climax Lawrence, who recently retired from international duty, felt India’s chances in the AFC Challenge Cup are quite good.
The tournament will be held in Kathmandu from March 8-19. Winning the tournament will give India a berth in the 2015 Asian Cup finals in Australia.
“Indian football is improving and we have to ensure that we do well at the event. We need to proceed step by step,” said 33-year-old Lawrence.
