CWG tennis: Sania-Chakravarthi win bronze

Sania Mirza and Rushmi Chakravarthi won the bronze in the tennis women's doubles at the Commonwealth Games, beating compatriots Nirupama Sanjeev and Poojashree Venkatesha 6-4, 6-2 in New Delhi today.

Sania settled for a silver in the women's singles on Saturday night after losing 3-6, 6-2, 6-7(3) to Australia's Anastasia Rodionova.

Sania and Rushmi had lost their doubles semifinals to Australia's Rodionova and Sally Peers 4-6, 4-6 on Saturday night.

Nirupama and Poojashree went down to Australia's Olivia Rogowska and Jessica Moore 7-5, 3-6, 5-7 in the semifinals.
