Finland had a debut to remember as they defeated Denmark 1-0 in Copehagen, courtesy of a header from Joel Pohjanpalo. There was a massive delay in the first half after Christian Eriksen collapsed. After receiving lengthy treatment on the pitch, he was taken to a hospital. The match was suspended by UEFA but after Eriksen was declared stable, the game resumed at the request of the players.

Denmark had a frustrating opening 30 minutes. Despite creating several chances and having several attempts at goal, they were unable to score, just like Jonas Wind here. His attempt was saved by the Finland goalkeeper

Finland custodian Luka Hradecky kept his his team alive in the game, quite literally, single-handedly. He made saves after saves as Finland continued to survive.
