Henry’s return to be ‘positive for Arsenal’

Thierry Henry has rejoined Arsenal on a short-term loan deal from the New York Red Bulls, the Premier League club confirmed on Friday.

Arsene Wenger backed Thierry Henry to enhance his legendary status at Arsenal after the New York Red Bulls striker rejoined the Gunners on a two-month loan deal on Friday. The 34-year-old has been training with the Londoners since the close of the MLS season in November.

Wenger believes the Frenchman’s return will be win-win for both Arsenal and Henry.

"You cannot take away from people what they have done, and what he has delivered will stay forever," Wenger said. "Thierry is a world-class player and is a good addition because he knows the club, he knows the league, and it is only positive.”
