India has been relegated to Fed Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group II in 2010 after losing to Taiwan 3-0 in the on Saturday. Neither the Taiwanese or Indians won a tie during the group phase of the Asia/Oceania Zone Group I tournament, and were forced into a playoff for relegation, with Kazakhstan to be promoted to Group I next year after winning Group II.
