"I had some trouble recovering from the injury I got in Paris, but I'm feeling much better now and really looking forward to playing some matches on grass," Mauresmo said at the Wimbledon warm-up tournament in Eastbourne.

"I did not touch the racket for about 10 days and I only started to play again a week ago."

Mauresmo, who beat top-ranked Justine Henin in 2006 final at Wimbledon, said she considered pulling out of the Grand Slam tournament last year after losing in the first round at Eastbourne.

"I remember last year after I lost here in Eastbourne how I was mentally," Mauresmo said. "I almost thought there's no point for me to go to Wimbledon if I play this way, so I'm feeling much better now."
