Eddie Johnson scored in stoppage time to give the Major League Soccer All-Stars a 3-2 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday.
Chris Wondolowski and Chris Pontius also scored goals for the MLS All-Stars at PPL Park, the home of the Philadelphia Union.
Frank Lampard and John Terry scored for Chelsea.
Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham - in bright pink boots - made an appearance for the All-Stars on a lightning trip back to the US between Olympic commitments in London.
Wondolowski, who leads the MLS scoring charts this season with 17 for San Jose, put the All-Stars ahead in the 21st minute, punishing the Chelsea defense for not
clearing the ball.
However it was Chelsea's talismanic duo of Lampard and Terry who put the English club and reigning European champions ahead: Terry headed in the equalizer in the
21st minute and Lampard got on the end of an arching pass to score in the 32nd.
Chelsea stayed in front until the 73rd minute when DC United teammates Dwayne De Rosario and Pontius combined. Pontius, who was named as player of the match, shot firmly past Chelsea's second-string keeper Ross Turnbull.
Just when the game was on the brink of being decided by a penalty shootout, Johnson, of the Seattle Sounders, broke free for the winner and sparked the MLS All-Stars to a win over an international team for the first time since 2008.
