UK court rescinds Tevez’s community service

Carlos Tevez has been cleared to start the season with Juventus after having his court-ordered punishment rescinded in England. The former Manchester City striker still had to complete the majority of his 250 hours’ of unpaid community service that was imposed after a string of driving offences before leaving the Premier League club.

Carlos Tevez has been cleared to start the season with Juventus after having his court-ordered punishment rescinded in England. The former Manchester City striker still had to complete the majority of his 250 hours’ of unpaid community service that was imposed after a string of driving offences before leaving the Premier League club.

But the terms have been changed by Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court near Manchester, with Tevez paying a fine now instead.

Terry’s dad chargedLondon: The father of former England football captain John Terry had reportedly been charged with racially aggravated assault following a scuffle in a London street. The 59-year-old Ted Terry was arrested along with two other men following the fracas at around 8pm on March 22 in Fenchurch Street in London, and the trio were formally charged with causing racially aggravated fear of violence and assault.
