Shah Rukh Khan and the Bachchans (Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai) already own homes in Dubai. And now, it has come to light that Salman Khan is also keen on purchasing property there. The actor is shooting for an upcoming action film there, and alongside, is actively looking for a house.
Salman’s younger brother Sohail — in an interview to a Dubai portal — confirmed that the family is looking for a property in Dubai. “We are looking, in fact, we have been for a while. It’s just that we have been tied up this whole year. We would love to buy a pad in Dubai. It’s just two and a half hours from Mumbai anyway,” said Sohail in the interview.
Shah Rukh already owns a villa in Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island off the Dubai coast. Abhishek and Aishwarya also own a luxurious villa at the Sanctuary Falls, a gated community inside the Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Sohail added that, “It (investing in Dubai) has crossed our mind, we will just have to find the right place where we would like to invest, where we would like our home to be.”
Just a few days ago, Salman and Sohail were in the desert city shooting for their latest film together, Mental. However, Sohail revealed that they have been wanting to invest in Dubai long before the film’s shooting began. He said, “For years now, we have been property hunting. Whenever we come here we see something nice, but people tell us to wait since there’s always something better coming up.”
Just a few days ago, Salman and Sohail were in the desert city shooting for their latest film together, Mental. So will Salman spend more time in Dubai than here? Sohail maintained that Mumbai is “always going to be our home”. He added, “We were all born and raised in Mumbai but Dubai is a place we would love to visit often.”
