The developers of the popular battle royale game Fortnite have teased a new playable character, suggesting that a young Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars universe will be joining the roster of characters.
Last summer, the game introduced Darth Vader as a playable skin, and now players will be able to kill Darth Vader as Anakin (or vice versa). The Anakin skin appears to be based on the likeness of a long-haired Hayden Christensen seen in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith or the cartoony version of Anakin from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

However, in Fortnite, players will be able to play through that original scenario as if Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker are separate people. The teaser art for the Anakin skin shows him walking with a lightsaber in hand, with starships looming overhead. So it is safe to assume that Fornite’s upcoming update will feature lightsabers as a limited-time addition just like the ODM gear from Attack on Titan. The details of when the Anakin skin will be available are yet to be revealed. But Fortnite retweeted, “Join the experience beginning May 2, 2023.” So maybe the Fortnite x Star Wars will go live from Maybe 2, or it is the Fortnite Crew Pack's update date.
