Australian Open 2020 Day 1 Highlights: Djokovic, Federer, Serena, Osaka through to 2nd round

Australian Open Highlights: Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Ashleigh Barty and Naomi Osaka were some of the big names that contested on first day of the Australian Open 2020, and all of them made it easily through to the second round. In terms of first day shockers, 15-year-old Coco Gauff defeated 7-time Grand Slam Champion Venus Williams, while 13th-seed Denis Shapovalov suffered a defeat against Hungarian Australian Open debutant Márton Fucsovics.Follow Highlights of Day 1 of Australian Open 2020:

Djokovic goes past Struff to win 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 and enters the 2nd round. If Prajnesh wins his match, he will face the Serbian.

Denis Shapovalov was sent packing from the Australian Open in the first round Monday after an epic row with the umpire for throwing his racquet in frustration. The world number 13 was beaten 6-3, 7-6 (9/7), 6-1, 7-6 (7/3) by Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in a big upset on day one of the first Grand Slam of the year.
