Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis extended their winning streak to 34, as they defeated the German-American pair of Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Coco Vandeweghe to storm into the semifinals of the Australian Open women’s doubles on Tuesday.

The top seeds recovered from the loss of the second set to defeat the 12-seeded pair 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 in a match that lasted one hour, 38 minutes.
Since teaming up at Indian Wells in March last year, the Indo-Swiss duo have bagged eleven women’s doubles titles, including two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open.
The pair has also made the perfect start to the season, winning back-to-back titles at the Brisbane and Sydney International events. Their last loss was to the Chan sisters in the Cincinnati Masters, before the start of the US Open.
