All forms of Aadhaar acceptable as identity proof, says UIDAI

“Residents can choose to use any form of Aadhaar as per their convenience,” UIDAI said on its official Twitter handle. Aadhaar comes in three forms: Letter, eAadhaar and Aadhaar PVC.

Aadhaar Card’s use may be widened further

Under the new rules, issued on Wednesday, any central or state government department or ministry can approach the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) -- the statutory body that manages Aadhaar and runs Aadhaar-based services -- to use the unique 12-digit biometric number for authentication.

Salary can’t be withheld over failure to link bank account with Aadhaar: HC

Chinese national arrested in Delhi had Indian passport, Aadhaar

Charlie Peng was arrested last week from north Delhi after police were tipped off that a Chinese national possessing an Indian passport and an Aadhaar card and some other documents might be involved in suspicious activities.
