26% candidates declared criminal cases against them in Phase 7 polls in Bengal

SC raises concern over possible misuse of electoral bonds, reserves order

Attorney General KK Venugopal, representing the Centre, said that after the electoral bonds scheme was launched in 2018, black money in election funding has been kept under check as no cash is collected.

SC to hear plea to stop fresh sale of electoral bonds ahead of Assembly polls

The petition has been filed by Association For Democratic Reforms (ADR). It will be heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde.
