Rajasthan HC sends notice to Saif, Sonali, Neelam, Tabu in Blackbuck case

A single judge bench of Justice Manoj Garg issued the notice to the actors following an appeal by the Rajasthan government against their acquittal by a Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on April 5 last year.

Blackbuck habitat discovered near Greater Noida

Blackbucks are one of the 48 mammal species listed in the Wildlife (Protection) Act’s Schedule 1 and enjoy the highest protection among animals in the country since 1972. Hunting blackbucks can lead to three- to seven-year imprisonment.

Wrong leopards, dead blackbucks in botched exchange between zoos

An exchange of animals between National Zoological Park in Delhi and Chhattisgarh’s Nandan Van zoo has gone horribly wrong, with the former alleging that two leopards it got from Naya Raipur are not those it had been promised.
