Chandigarh: HC Bar body chief arrested in assault case

According to Singh, he, along with advocate Anjali Kukar, had visited Malik’s office, where a confrontation ensued; Malik and his associates then verbally abused and physically assaulted him, resulting in injuries to his head, face, and chest

ASI demanded 40k as bribe for tweaking medical report in accused’s favour: CBI Report

As per CBI, the ASI promised the kin of two attempt to murder accused to get a favourable medical report from doctor to declare the injury of the opposite party as normal to facilitate their bail

However, following the ASI’s demise, CBI has moved file for cancellation of the FIR. Another ASI, Satish, rounded up after the ASI had fled the police station before the CBI raid on Tuesday, was let off the same day after questioning. (HT)

Punjab BJP office in Chandigarh receives 3 threat letters with suspicious substance

According to party officials, the letters targeted leaders including Manjinder Sirsa, Tejinder Singh Saran, and Parminder Brar and threatened them of harm if they did not disassociate from the BJP.
