According to the standard operating procedure (SOP) given by the ministry of health and family welfare on February 17, passengers from these high-risk countries will have to get their RT-PCR tests done at the airport before proceeding to home quarantine.

Speaking to ANI about the Covid-19 vaccine storage capacity at Delhi Airport, CEO Videh Jaipuriar said, “We have a storage capacity of 27 lakh vaccines at any given point for Delhi Airport. So, we can distribute 54 lakhs vials, if we are able to complete two rotations in a day.”

On Monday morning, fog caused visibility at the airport to drop drastically, forcing the airport operator to shut one of the three runways for close to three hours. Officials said this affected departures, while arrivals continued normally.

Delhi airport receives over 45k applications from intl flyers for quarantine exemption

The government had said last month that from August 8, if any arriving international passenger has a negative report from an RT-PCR test done 96 hours prior to the journey, he or she need not undergo institutional quarantine in India. Delhi airport had launched an online portal for this purpose.
