DDA officials said that 348 flats, located in Dwarka’s sector 16B, are not ready yet and the allotment of the same will start only after four-five months.

A senior DDA official said, “We have received 46,500 registrations of which close to 9,000 people have already submitted their applications. Till Monday, 2,325 applicants had made the payment. Going by the number of people who have registered, the response has been good so far.”

Pushkar Rawat, Shivali Seth, and thousands of home buyers were duped by various developers and promoters, who allegedly tricked them into investing in different housing schemes by fraudulently using the DDA’s land-pooling policy, which is yet to become operational.

This comes a day after the Delhi Development Authority closed the famous water body-cum-park following the death of 10 ducks on the premises. The samples from the dead ducks have been sent for testing to ascertain whether bird flu was the cause of death.

The authority plans to develop sectors 17, 20 and 21 in Bawana and Pooth Khurd and Sultanpur Dabas villages as model areas, a DDA official said.
In 11,188 cases (out of 26,705 applications), GIS survey work has been done while deficiencies have been pointed out to 4,131 applicants, to which they can file replies online.(Mint)

The Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) 2021 does not allow fitness centres outside of DDA market complexes or shopping malls, but an amendment in 2013 had declared those elsewhere also legal up to a cut-off date of August 12, 2008. The facilities that mushroomed after that do not have legal sanction.
