Haryana BJP announced a day’s fast and dharna at district headquarters to counter the farmers’ protest against the Centre’s new farm laws and to demand the construction of the SYL Canal in Punjab and its share of water.

Haryana to seal its borders to stop farmers marching towards Delhi

Traffic will be diverted or road blockages put up on Ambala-Delhi, Hisar-Delhi, Rewari-Delhi and Palwal-Delhi highways on November 25, 26 and 27; entry from Punjab in districts of Panchkula, Ambala, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad and Sirsa will also be blocked.

3 of teacher’s family found dead in Haryana’s Tohana town

Police said a 32-year-old science teacher and her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter were found dead in a room with cloth stuffed in the mouth, while her 35-year-old husband was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the storeroom.

Ahead of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) exam, Fatehabad Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday announced that women candidates are allowed to wear bindi and vermilion.
The government has already decided to provide ₹1,000 per acre operational charges for crop residue management, besides ₹100 per quintal of paddy purchased (non-Basmati) at mandis for farmers who would not burn the crop residue.(PTI)
