Indians are not as happy as they were last year and the country figured among the lowest 20 of the 156 nations ranked on this year’s UN World Happiness Report. India came in 140th this year, dropping seven places from 133 last year. As a result, India featured in the five countries that had the largest drop since 2005-2008 in the index, along with Yemen, Syria, Botswana and Venezuela.
