The Gurugram Metro project, which has been on hold for six years, is moving forward as the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation has opened tenders for a geo-technical survey of the 12.76km portion of the 28.60km line. The project will extend the Metro rail line from Huda City Centre to Old Gururgam and finally to CyberHub in a loop, connecting the entire city. The project is estimated to cost INR6,800 crore ($929m) and awaits final approval from the Union cabinet.
Normal service resumed at 9am, after authorities surmised that the three monkeys had, presumably, escaped. No Metro equipment was damaged, confirmed officials.
