Wednesday saw attempts by farmers to block another border point to Delhi -- the Kalindi Kunj border that connects Noida with south Delhi -- even as the Singhu and Tikri borders remained completely blocked to traffic for the sixth consecutive day.
The official said a change in a site cannot be done without following due procedure and amounts to a violation of the DPTA, under which the permission was granted.(HT File)

A Delhi government spokesperson said the department held a meeting on the matter on Thursday. “A show-cause notice has been issued to the CPWD following reports of violation. Necessary action will be taken under the DPTA, in case violations are found,” the spokesperson said.

The brother of the two girls and other children saw them drowning and screamed for help. But by the time help arrived and the sisters were rescued, the two had died, police said.
