Woman hacked to death in Kaushambi, accused nabbed

Villagers rushed to the scene after they heard the victim’s cries and tried to rescue her but she had died by then. The accused, Ashok, tried to escape from the spot but was overpowered by villagers and was handed over to the police.

13 Covid-19 hotspots in Ghaziabad to go under total lockdown from midnight

The Uttar Pradesh administration has issued a list of areas to be put under a complete lockdown in Ghaziabad. The total lockdown will be effective from midnight on April 15—Wednesday. The restrictions in these pockets will be stricter than those under the lockdown already in place.

UP teacher scolds male student for harassing girl, gets beaten up by mob

However, the attackers broke the door open and dragged out Pandey while attacking him brutally with sticks and rods. The mob chased away other college staff and medical team and broke the CCTV cameras installed at the school.

UP: HC summons DM, SP after PIL says Christians being harassed

The Allahabad high court on Friday directed the Kaushambi district magistrate and the superintendent of police to remain present on July 31 during a hearing on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition, which alleges that certain people were not permitting the members of the Christian community to offer Sunday prayers.
