U.P.: New Varanasi mayor vows to improve city’s cleanliness

Newly-elected Varanasi mayor Ashok Tiwari took oath in Sanskrit, along with two corporators, in the presence of deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. Four Muslim women took oath in Urdu, while the remaining corporators took oath in Hindi. The deputy CM congratulated Tiwari and all corporators and emphasized on the need for cleanliness and promptness in public interest. Tiwari promised to improve the city's cleanliness and strengthen the lighting system while relieving the city from traffic jams.

U.P.: Ganesh Kesarwani sworn in as new Prayagraj mayor

BJP's Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani took oath as the new mayor of Prayagraj along with 100 newly elected corporators of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation. The ceremony was attended by BJP leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Phulpur and Allahabad MPs Keshari Devi Patel and Rita Bahuguna Joshi. The venue was dominated by saffron colour. The new mayor pledged to run an awareness campaign every month in a locality to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a success and make Mahakumbh-2025 grand.
