However, police personnel have been deployed in Kalaburagi in the wake of the bandh. In Hubli, meanwhile, protesters tried to stop a bus in Hubli by blocking road.
The services will be operated from Bengaluru, Davangere, Mangaluru and various other places of the state keeping in view the density of passengers, the statement added.(PTI)

Karnataka allows students taking Pre-University Certificate exams to travel free in buses

The students will have to produce their admit cards to avail the service. They will be allowed to travel for free from September 7 to 19.

The bus converted into a clinic would enable medical check-up for patients and medical counselling. Different cabins are set up for the driver, doctors and the general public in the bus. Sanitizers and wash-basins are also provided.

20 killed in Tamil Nadu after truck rams into bus

Among the dead, 18 were from Kerala and one from Karnataka, police said, adding that one of the bodies remained to be identified. The truck’s driver, Hemraj, has surrendered to the Tamil Nadu police.
