This additional responsibility is causing strain on educators, who are requesting an extension to complete the task. The data will be used to verify information given by applicants for caste certificates. The issue of Maratha reservation has dominated Maharashtra politics in recent months.
"Bhujbal Saheb has done the work of creating a rumour. Bhujbal's statement regarding reservations is 100 percent wrong," said Sambhuraj Desai.
