Watch | Railway staff rushes to save man from getting crushed under moving train

In the 24-second CCTV footage from a railway station, railway staff H Satish Kumar can be seen walking towards the platform to give the green flag to an upcoming goods train, when he suddenly turns away and runs hastily to save a man lying on the track.
The staff quickly picks up the man lying there and takes him to the other side of the track.

Indian Railways launch first train under ‘Bharat Gaurav’ scheme

IRCTC changes rules for user IDs linked to Aadhaar, allows booking of 24 tickets

  • In a statement, the Ministry of Railways said that one of the passengers among the 24 to be booked train tickets must be verifiable through his or her Aadhaar.
In April, the IRCTC revised the online ticket booking process using both the website and the app. It made mandatory for passengers to get their phone numbers as well as email IDs verified before booking train tickets.(HT File/Representative image)

Centre issues gazette notification to unify 8 services of Indian Railways

The Indian Railways Management Service (IRMS), announced in December 2019, will leave railways will just two departments: Railway Protection Force and Medical Service Department.
