Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders have sent a letter to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar, informing him that the three MVA parties have decided to include VBA in the opposition coalition. The MVA has also included other parties such as CPI, CPIM, PWP, AAP, and JD(U). The inclusion of VBA will be significant for the coalition in Maharashtra.
Members of the MVA met in Mumbai to decide on a formula for seat sharing in the Lok Sabha polls. Shiv Sena will contest the highest number of seats followed by Congress and NCP. Prakash Ambedkar refused to attend the meeting but agreed to attend the next one. The MVA offered him two seats. Swabhimani Paksha leader Raju Shetti will also be part of the alliance. Parties discussed exchanging seats based on winnability.
In yet another letter to the MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) leaders, Prakash Ambedkar, the grandson of Dr. BR Ambedkar, reiterated his interest to join the MVA and INDIA alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
