Rajasthan’s Covid-19 death toll rises to 876, tally of cases climbs to 61,296

Out of the total deaths in the state, Jaipur has reported 232 fatalities, followed by 87 in Jodhpur, 65 in Bharatpur, 59 in Ajmer, 57 in Bikaner, 53 in Kota, 37 each in Nagaur and Pali, 23 in Alwar and 19 in Dholpur.

About 90,000 hectares hit by locust in 20 Rajasthan districts

Swarms of locust have moved from Sri Ganganagar, Nagaur, Jaipur, Dausa, Karauli and Swai Madhopur towards other areas in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh after the authorities conducted operations to tackle them.

Rohit Kumar Singh, additional chief secretary, health, has already said 20 cases were reported from Jodhpur, 10 cases were reported from Nagaur, 12 from Jaipur, four from Kota, two from Hanumangarh, and one from Ajmer.
