UP Board to introduce NCERT books for three more classes

Preparations have already been started for introducing the new books for English in Class 10 and 12, besides commerce in Class 12 as per the national standard, said the board officials.

According to the notice, the council will conduct the exam on February 14, 2021. Earlier the NTSE exam was scheduled to be held on February 7, 2021.

The most challenging task would be to ensure teachers believe that every child can learn, and teach children at the right level. This may sound simple, but my work with government schools and teachers has convinced me that this will not be easy to achieve.

The NCERT books will first be introduced in class 1 from 2021-22, in class 2 and 3 from 2022-23, in class 4 and 5 from 2023-24 and then in class 6 to 8 from 2024-25 session, the minister said in a press statement.
