Power consumption grows 16.5% in first 12 days of March

On the other hand, the peak power demand met, which is the highest supply in a day, during this 12-day period of March 2021 remained well above the highest record of 170.16 GW in the entire March 2020.

Saubhagya scheme for electrification: 82% rural power bills unpaid in UP since April

Data showed that 82.27% of rural consumers have not paid even a single electricity bill during the current financial year since April. While around 17% among the over two crore rural consumers have paid their bills at least once in the current financial year

Power demand slump narrows to 2.6% in July beginning

Power demand goes up as mercury rises, curbs ease

AP hikes power tariff for section of domestic consumers by 90 paise per unit

The new tariffs will come into effect from April 1. This is the first time in the last six years that the power tariff has been increased, albeit for a limited number of consumers, in Andhra Pradesh.
