West Indies fought back from 113/5 at one stage to post 295/7/ at the end of Day 1 of the second Test in Hyderabad on Friday. Windies were in trouble early on after winning the toss and choosing to bat on a pitch that looked good for batting. Roston Chase, who struck a fifty in Rajkot, continued his impressive form and scored yet another fifty and will hoping to bring up his fourth Test ton on Saturday. He was ably supported by Jason Holder who also struck a fifty on his return to the side. Kuldeep and Umesh Yadav were the pick of the bowlers for India both picking up three wickets each.
