Hyderabad restaurants wait for customers month after restrictions were eased

A random check in some popular restaurants in the city has revealed that the footfall has been abysmally low and they are finding it difficult to recover even the maintenance cost.

Aarogya Setu to cancellation charges: Things to keep in mind while travelling on IRCTC special trains

Booking for reservation on these trains started on Monday and will be available only on IRCTC website and mobile application. Booking of tickets through ‘agents’, both IRCTC and Indian Railways, shall not be allowed.

Rain batters Hyderabad, sets 111-year record for 24 hours

India Meteorological Department (IMD) director (Hyderabad) Y K Reddy said Trimulgherry in Secunderabad Cantonment received the maximum 13.2 cm rainfall, which is the highest for a 24-hour period in September over the last 111 years.

Andhra Police constable fires in crowded bus, arrested

The task force police identified the accused through the video footage obtained from the closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and took him into custody at his residence in Kukatpalli on the outskirts of the city. EVM glitch reported, turnout figure dips in Telangana

EVM malfunctioning was reported from Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Chelvella, Malkajgiri in the first couple of hours of polling. At Pothangal in Nizamabad district, ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate, K Kavitha, had to wait in a queue to vote for over 40 minutes because of an EVM malfunction.
The polling in Nizamabad was allowed up to 6 pm as there were 185 contestants in the fray. Authorities had to arrange 12 EVMs in L shape to accommodate such a big number of candidates.(HT Photo)
