'Political tourism': UP minister says politics over bodies won't help opposition

UP may replicate Centre’s model before pruning departments

Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday decided to seek more information about new central ministries like Jal Shakti and may replicate the union government’s model while pruning the number of state departments.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the cabinet meeting that considered the proposal to bring down the total number of departments from 93 to nearly half as suggested by the Niti Ayog.

Penalty doubled to Rs 1000 for driving without licence in Uttar Pradesh

The penalty for vehicle without number plate has been increased from Rs 300 to Rs 500 and if a driver is caught without licence, he will have to pay Rs 1,000 (earlier the fine was Rs 500).

UP nod to Amethi colleges’ affiliation to Ayodhya university

Sharp fall in encephalitis cases in UP this year, claims govt

Uttar Pradesh has seen a drastic fall in cases of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) and Japanese Encephalitis (JE) this year, thanks to the concerted efforts of six state government departments, UP health minister Sidharth Nath Singh said.

UP: Government doctors referring patients to private hospitals will face the music
