Bombay HC rejects Jain community plea seeking closure of slaughter houses

The petitions in the HC had challenged an order passed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner.

Animals will now have to be "stunned" and made unconscious before slaughtering them, as per PCA rules 2001.
