'Windshield crack': Air India Express flight makes emergency landing in Kerala

The Air India Express flight was going to Saudi Arabia from Thiruvananthapuram. It was without any passengers due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) restrictions in place. The plane was carrying some cargo along with eight-member crew.

As the number of cases in the state increases, neighbouring Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have mandated fresh restrictions on people travelling from Kerala.

Cyclone Burevi crossed the Sri Lanka coast on Wednesday night and is predicted to make landfall by Friday morning across the southern districts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
