Dog observes how human plays with cat, employs same method to befriend kitty
A video of a dog finding a clever way to befriend a cat has impressed people. The video will leave you with a smile too.
Cat parents or even people who love watching cat videos will agree that the kitties are not always willing to forge friendships with dogs. There have been instances where cats were recorded turning down pooches trying to befriend them. A dog named Kovu, however, found the perfect way to navigate through those hurdles to become friends with a cat named Simba. The dog observed how its pet parents used strings while playing with the cat and then used the same item to entertain the kitty.

“Tried so hard to befriend the cat,” reads the caption posted along with the video. The clip opens to show a cat lying on a floor with a dog standing in front of it. The dog also has a few strings that it keeps in front of the kitty. Initially uninterested, the cat finally becomes mildly interested in playing with the strings and the dog.
“Kovu, our Aussie, always wanted to be friends with Simba. Simba would never have it, always swatting and hissing. Kovu noticed us playing the string with Simba and gave it a shot,” the original poster added to explain how the dog came up with the idea.
