Aamir Khan highlights importance of sports on Satyamev Jayate 3

The maiden episode of the latest season emphasised on rehabilitation through sports as Khan appealed to youngsters to stay away from drugs and make sports their addiction instead.

Actor Aamir Khan returned to the small screen with the third season of issue-based TV show Satyamev Jayate and discussed how sports can change ones life.

The maiden episode of the latest season emphasised on rehabilitation through sports as Khan appealed to youngsters to stay away from drugs and make sports their addiction instead.

The first story revealed the tale of a juvenile delinquent Akhilesh who was tempted into playing football for a few hours instead of doing drugs. Akhilesh went on to coach children and even captained the Homeless World Cup in Brazil in 2010.

The topic of discussion in the first episode was hailed by former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who feels sports plays an important role in building a country's future. "Aamir's 'Satyamev Jayate' episode was a deja vu for me, Sports4all will change country's future. #MumkinHai," Tendulkar posted on Twitter.
