Music mogul Simon Cowell has officially quit
The X Factor
. ITV bosses confirmed that Cowell, 51, will not be a judge on the 2011
X Factor
series as he is busy launching a US version of the show. “We have been in negotiations with Simon about ways in which we can help The X Factor evolve. He will be an enormous presence backstage as always,” the Daily Star quoted ITV chief Peter Fincham as saying.
