Winning a crore will be made simpler from January next year. Reason - AXN launches India’s

Minute To Win It
adapted from
Minute To Win
, currently on air in the US on the same station.
Has the concept been borrowed from Omung Kumar’s show
Aur Ek Minute
, which came on Zee TV years ago? Rohit Bhandari, senior vice president, AXN, says, “
Minute To Win It
is original. The similarity with the Zee show is that we have one-minute tasks. The difference lies in the prize booty and the way the tasks have been laid out.”
Contestants above the age of 18 can register on the website till November 21. The show will feature between 80 and 100 contestants. Since the booty is huge, the tasks allotted are expected to be difficult. Bhandari says, “Short-listed contestants will be invited to a boot camp where some of the games will be laid out for them to practice while the producers will judge their abilities and skills.”
How will it work?
How will it work?
The format of the show employs regular-looking props like buckets and toothbrushes to create fun games. Every contestant is given a blueprint of the challenge to be completed in 60 seconds. Rs 1,000 is the prize money at level one and level 10 can earn you one crore.
But will it click with the Indian viewers?
“We have re-created a lot of US shows for desi viewers like
Who Dares Wins - India
and
Magic Asia-India
which were big successes. We’re confident we can do it again. Besides game shows have always been popular in India,” asserts Bhandari.
