— plans to return in the show’s second season too. “The show has made me immensely popular. My friends watch my show and really appreciate my performance. The next season will be underway after this one ends. I’m really hoping to be part of that too,” he asserts.

Shah Rukh Khan has produced the show under his TV show production company, Red Chilies Idiot Box.

Has Mehta received any feedback from the star-producer? “No,” he sighs, “I haven’t heard from him yet, but I’ve heard good things on the sets. People who have interacted with him told me that he’s extremely happy with the show. His kids,Aryan and Suhana, watch it religiously and he produced the show because they are die-hard Disney lovers.”

Mehta, 16, a class 11 commerce student, inspired by his character and college band

Yaari

in the show, plans to become a musician in real life too.

“I’m a trained guitarist. I can play some other instruments too. Music has been a passion since childhood and I want to pursue it as a profession when I grow up. I don’t know yet if I’d be part of a rock band or become a music composer,” states the actor, who also wishes to pursue a Masters Degree in Management Studies.

Mehta says, “I work on one show at a time, though I’ve been getting plenty of offers from different production houses. Even after I become an MBA, I will continue to devote time to music and acting. Juggling is the keyword.”
