Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has bagged a role in Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin's TV drama, More As This Story Develops.

Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has bagged a role in Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin's TV drama. The Indian-origin actor, who shot to global fame playing the lead in Danny Boyle’s Academy Award-winning film, will join an impressive roster of names including Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Sam Waterston and Olivia Munn in the drama.

Set in the world of cable news, the drama will feature Patel as a series regular who works at the channel. Greg Mottola is on board to direct the project, which has Alan Poul, Scott Rudin and Sorkin as executive producers.
