According to Daily Finance, CEO Bob Iger revealed it during a conference call with investors when he was asked if the company planned to launch its own streaming service, reported Ace Showbiz.

"We have said that with these channels and these brands ESPN, ABC, Disney, maybe even down the road something related to Star Wars and Marvel, we do have an ability as a company to take product, specifically filmed entertainment, television, movies, directly to consumers," he said.

Marvel superheroes are currently booming on the big and small screens. After rolling out Avengers: Age of Ultron, the company is prepping for Ant-Man on July 17 and filming Captain America: Civil War for 2016 release.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and Daredevil are among the TV adaptations. Star Wars, meanwhile, is getting an overhaul on the silver screen with JJ Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens due December 18.
