Geeta Kapoor became the face of Dance India Dance after judging Seasons 1 to 3, DID Doubles, DID Superstars and DID Li’l Masters Season 1. She will be part of the upcoming season as well. Says Geeta, “Even the greatest choreographer is invisible in the public eye. After being part of reality TV, you get name, fame and recognition, and become a household name. Everyone wants to be famous. Now people know me personally, which happened only due to DID.” The new season of DID Li’l Masters premieres April 28, on Zee TV. “We have very talented kids on the show, even better than season 1,” says an excited Geeta.

“I want to tell parents that if your kids are inclined towards dancing, do encourage them but don’t push them into reality TV,” she adds. These days more and more parents are pushing kids into reality TV. “Parental support can change a child’s life. Kids aren’t required to do reality shows, as they may get uncomfortable or stressed. But if they can handle it why not. Moreover, it’s easy to blame reality TV for all things wrong with kids. But what about parents pushing kids to get higher grades academically?” she questions.

As a judge, Geeta gets put off by assertive parents. “I don’t appreciate it when parents demand to know why their child wasn’t selected for the show. Parent should be happy their kids got through a round and let them grow in a natural and supportive environment.”
