If you suffer from any kind of phobia, you probably understand how traumatic it could be to face them. So the last thing you’re likely to do is deliberately put yourself in a situation where you have to deal with them. However, in Fear Less, a reality show that starts tonight on youth channel bindass, participants will face their fears and try to overcome them, all on camera.

The first episode will feature 20-year-old mass media student Jay Bhansali, who will attempt to conquer his fear of fire. Jay is normally scared to light a match or even go near a stove.

On screen, with his friends around for motivation, he will attempt a series of tasks, such as sitting in the centre of a ring of fire, with concentric circles that get closer with each level.

“It is truly difficult to get over a phobia. What this show does is help people face their fears. It also highlights the fact that one’s friends can help one overcome difficulties,” says Shalini Sethi, director, programming, Bindass. She adds, “The show was tough to execute. But we have an excellent team. The audience will connect with the honesty that will come through.”
