The set is crowded with over 200 crewmembers including five-eight cameramen, and dozens of stunt co-ordinators and supervisors. If there are animals involved, their handlers around too. Host Priyanka Chopra’s day begins at 5 am and often ends close to midnight. Her khiladis have different call times every day. The crew arrives hours before them to ensure that there are no hiccups.
Two days and four stuntsStunt 1: Ghumri Talaiyya
11 am: Chopra is ready with make-up and marking her script. The boys with their female partners are on the go. Shooting is at a chocolate factory where The Incredible Hulk was filmed earlier.
The stunt: A player is locked into a glass trough with his or her hands and feet chained. Worms and cockroaches are thrown in, the box is rotated in circles. The participant has to find keys to open the locks and press the hooter, ASAP.
While the box is being readied, links featuring the boys and partners are shot. Jokes are being cracked. Oye Lucky Lucky Oye actor Manjot Singh’s partner, Andressa, is Brazilian. The boys urge him to "undress her". He blushes like a bride.
3 pm: The shoot wraps up. The trough is cleaned. The participants take a shower, return to their partners and rush to the next location. Chopra speeds off in a car, her entourage follows in a mini van.
Stunt 2: Just Chill
7 pm: At Marina Da Gloria, participants, Milind Soman, Karan Singh Grover, Terrence Lewis and Shabbir Ahluwalia are ready to perform the stunt since they took over two minutes for the previous task to be completed. The other boys decide to nap since the next stunt won’t wrap up before midnight.
The stunt: Both participants are placed in separate compartments inside a glass trough suspended in mid-air. They are showered with ice blocks and have to collect sticks from one end of the trough and transfer it to another through an opening in the glass separator. More the sticks, the better their score.
The trough will take 15 minutes to be readied for every participant. In between shots, the boys take off for ciggies and coffee. Milind Soman is the last participant. Before he can start, Chopra lays her hands on a hooter that sounds like a fart. She sneaks up behind every member on the sets and hoots. Everyone has a hearty laugh.
11.30 pm: Soman and Ahluwalia’s partners are almost fainting after their stunts. It’s goodnight for all!

Stunt 3:Iguana Maze
10 am: It’s a closed location. Chopra is on the dot, make-up and hair in place. She has a partner, Mr Iguana, whom she caresses all day.
The stunt: The girls have pythons wrapped around them. The boys have to pass through frogs, iguanas and snakes, break glasses to open locks and rescue them.
Shabbir Ahluwalia is the best performer. Manjot Singh is bitten by a naughty iguana. There are no casualties.
2 pm: The action shifts to Porto Copa Cabbana. Before the shoot, the boys gorge on Brazilian and Indian delicacies and catch 40 winks. The girls are busy with make-up.
Stunt 4:Ferris Wheel
8 pm: Chopra has changed her costume and hairdo. While the boys are still chilling out, she puts on a harness and tries the stunt herself.
The stunt: The participants have to run in the opposite direction to the wheel’s movement, a fire flaming out on all sides. Everyone comes through, unsinged.
12 am: The trial by fire continues even as we say goodbye.
