The boys are back and it looks like the show may have taken a massive time leap this time. BBC One released the first official image for the upcoming season four of their hit TV series Sherlock on Wednesday. The picture is simple but still so fierce, with nothing but superstars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Check it out:

Is it just us or is Watson totally stealing Sherlock’s thunder? That glorious head of grey hair is definitely looking great on him. Cumberbatch looks like...well...like your every season Sherlock.

The picture gives nothing away about the plot but we didn’t really need it to because we already have a trailer:

So what’s the point in releasing an ‘official picture’ after the trailer is beyond us. But we don’t seem to mind because Freeman is looking so good. Keep it up Watson.

In this season Sherlock is grappling with the truth and the tricks his mind is playing on him. He is haunted by the ghost of Moriarty and his return, something he thought would happen ever since the Victorian Era special episode that premiered on January 1, 2016.

Sherlock will return on BBC in 2017.
