Actor Freida Pinto has admitted on actor-producer Simi Garewal’s chat show that she was rejected as a model and an actor a million times. She says that occasionally, she would be told that she doesn’t look ‘Indian’ at all, and sometimes she’d be rejected because she looked too ‘Indian’ for the assignment.

At times, she was even told at auditions that she lacked screen presence, she wasn’t tall enough and that she didn’t have the right body for modelling and acting. Apparently, at the age of 19, she had decided to become an actor for which she struggled for over seven years. And after Slumdog Millionnaire became a phenomena, she shifted bag and baggage to Hollywood.

Frieda has admitted on the show that she was absolutely star struck socialising with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Cher and Kurt Russell and meeting the likes of Mick Jagger. The actor however insists she’s not star struck anymore!
